Tropical Storm Irma Forms in Atlantic Likely to Become Hurricane

Tropical Storm Irma formed in the Atlantic late Wednesday morning and will likely become a hurricane by the weekend. The storm currently has maximum sustained winds of 50 mph and is moving west at 13 mph.  Though it is too early to know if this system will impact the United States preparations should be made as a precaution and this storm should be monitored closely by anyone in the Caribbean and along the US East Coast.  We will continually monitor this storm over the coming days and provide daily updates.
