SevereWXWarn Releases New Map To Help Professionals Track Tornadoes

SevereWXWarn released a new product Sunday that will allow for better tracking and early detection of tornadoes as well as storms that are capable of producing tornadoes. This release is now available on the SevereWXWarn website and will be available on Android and Apple for download later this week under the app name Weather Velocities Pro. This product is a data feed directly from NOAA showing what is know as “Storm Relative Motion”, which ultimately captures wind speeds moving towards and away from a Doppler radar, which is a crucial piece for meteorologist and storm chasers to detect the presence as well as the exact location of a tornado or possible tornado. The map is available now on our site and it will be released on Android tomorrow followed by a release in the Apple App Store next weekend. We will be offering limited training sessions on how to use this map in the coming weeks. As always thanks for making us your #1 source for severe weather.
