Snow Storm Possible Along East Coast Next Week

Snow will be possible throughout the Northeastern US and Mid-Atlantic states next week.  The system will likely bring snow as far south as Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina and Virginia.  The system will bring snow to the central portion of the east coast beginning on Monday with areas of Northern Georgia & Alabama seeing some small traces of snow.  North Carolina and Virginia’s snowfall totals will be mainly limited to the western regions of the state though areas of the piedmont could see some flurries.  Areas of Tennessee and Kentucky could see decent snowfall totals in many parts of the state.  Most every state north of Virginia will likely see good amounts of snowfall with Pennsylvania likely seeing the largest snowfall totals.  Snow showers could continue for many areas throughout Tuesday & Wednesday, but will not be as widespread as Monday.  North Carolina could see another chance for flurries on Thursday as well with some accumlation possible in some areas east of the mountains and piedmont. As with many of these winter systems the track of the storm could make a difference in the track and totals therefore we will not get into amounts at this time.  We will continue to monitor this storm and as soon as we have confidence in the models and the track of this system we will begin posting more in depth snowfall totals.  Colder weather throughout the next 2 weeks could present a few opportunities for snow lovers all over the east coast.  Be sure to like us on Facebook by CLICKING HERE and also be sure to share this post using the social media buttons at the bottom of this page.  Also be sure to download our Snowfall Forecast and Storm Tracker both available in the top menu on this site.  Downloads are available in the Android and Apple App Stores.  Thanks for making us your #1 source for severe weather.
