Tropical Depression Forms in Gulf Likely to impact Gulf & Eastern Coasts

Tropical Depression Three formed in the Gulf of Mexico this afternoon and will likely be upgraded to a tropical storm later today.  The depression currently has winds of 35 mph and is expected to have winds of 50-60 mph when it reaches the gulf coast of Florida on Monday.  The storm is then expected to cross Florida and skirt up the southeastern coast bringing wind and rain to Florida, Georgia and the Carolina’s.  The main threats with this system will be flooding and some wind.  This system could bring upwards of 6 inches of rain to some areas of the Southeastern US.  We will provide updates on this storm over the coming days.
